I’m trying to figure where I can go to college and get a great job being an accountant after school. Plus I live in Florida, but some people tell me NY is the place to go and some say stay in Florida. Idk what to do. I really love Florida.

take into consideration the living expenses, and the wage differences. i grew up in the north east (Boston) so i know how expensive it is to live up there. NYC is a little more expensive. a studio apartment in NYC can start at about 900 a month, but the wages are higher. You can probably start a job in the financing area at around 45,000. The winters are cold and forget if it snows.Since you are from Florida it will be a terrible first couple of years getting use to the cold.. if you live in the city you more than likely wont need a car. The good thing about NYC and Boston is the public transportation. The subway and buses. Living in Florida you know how the weather is as well as the pay. If you feel ambiguous and want to venture out then go for NYC. Change can be good for you. It was for me.

Florida has a horrible job market. Stick with New York.

It just alway’s been that way. By the way we also have the most job cuts in the Country.
